Anlässlich des Todes von Theo Angelopoulos und Vadim Glowna zeigen
die Internationalen Filmfestspiele Berlin zwei Sondervorführungen im
diesjährigen Programm.
Theo Angelopoulos zählte seit den 70er Jahren zu den
bedeutendsten europäischen Autorenfilmern. Bei der Berlinale war
Angelopoulos mehrfach zu Gast, zuletzt mit seinem Film I Skoni tou Chronou (The Dust of Time) im Berlinale Wettbewerb 2009.
Die Berlinale zeigt am 16. Februar 2012 um 21 Uhr im CinemaxX 9 am Potsdamer Platz Trilogia: To livadi pou dakrisi (Trilogie: Die Erde weint) als Sondervorführung in der Originalfassung mit deutschen Untertiteln. Der griechische Schriftsteller Petros Markaris, der auch an mehreren Drehbüchern von Angelopoulos’ Filmen mitgearbeitet hat, sowie Phoebe Economopoulos, Witwe und Produzentin vieler seiner Filme, werden zur Vorführung erwartet.

On the occasion of the death of Theo Angelopoulos and Vadim Glowna
the Berlin International Film Festival is presenting two special
screenings in this year’s programme.
Since the beginning of the 1970s Theo Angelopoulos has been
regarded as one of Europe’s major directors of auteur cinema. He was a
guest at the Berlin International Film Festival many times. Most
recently, Theo Angelopoulos presented I skoni tou chronou (The Dust of Time) in the Berlinale Competition in 2009.
The Berlinale will show Trilogia: To livadi pou dakrisi (Trilogy: The Weeping Meadow) in a special screening – in the original version with German subtitles - at the CinemaxX 9 at Potsdamer Platz on February 16, 2012 at 9pm. Greek author Petros Markaris, who worked with Angelopoulus on many of the scripts for his films, and Phoebe Economopoulos, widow and producer of many of his films, are expected to attend the screening.
